My name is Aspen Groom (they/them). I am a registered social worker offering accessible, virtual counselling across Ontario, with some in-person sessions available. Counselling can feel weird - opening up to a stranger is a vulnerable and strange experience. My work is about meeting you where you are and collaborating on what you are looking to get out of counselling. I believe no one is “broken” or needing of “fixing.” Instead, we all come with behaviours that are serving or no-longer services us, and we can work together to chart a different path forward.
As a queer, trans, neurodivergent, and invisibly disabled person, my own lived experiences deeply inform my practice. I understand the struggle of navigating systems and identities that don’t always fit, and the strength it takes to choose to live differently. I bring this understanding into the space we create together. If you’re looking for an affirming and kind counsellor, let’s talk. I offer sliding scale services for those who identify a need. Please reach out to discuss.
